Teladan Setia Sdn Bhd (TSSB) has signed a (MoU) with Micro Energy

KUALA LUMPUR: Teladan Setia Group Bhd through its wholly-owned subsidiary, Teladan Setia Sdn Bhd (TSSB) has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Micro Energy Holdings (M) Sdn Bhd (MEH) to install solar photovoltaic (PV) systems in its Taman Bertam Heights Phase 2A gated and guarded housing development project in Melaka.

“Through this collaboration, Teladan will install solar PV systems ranging from 2 kilowatt-peak (KWp) to 4KWp for 352 housing units within the said development.

“These solar-ready homes are expected to significantly reduce electricity costs for homeowners, potentially resulting in savings of up to 75%,” the Melaka-based property developer said in a statement.

It added that MEH has been appointed as the turnkey engineering, procurement, construction and commissioning (EPCC) provider for the project.

Teladan executive director Francis Sia Ah Piew said: “We are proud to be the pioneer of green development in Melaka by being the first property developer to install solar systems for home buyers. In conjunction with the Malaysian Government’s Net Energy Metering Rakyat 3.0 (NEM) programme, we are committed to playing our part in the nation’s sustainability efforts by offering solar-ready homes.”

“Our solar-ready homes are designed to demonstrate that sustainability can be integrated seamlessly into every aspect of sustainable living, serving as an exemplary model for future developments.”

Barring any unforeseen circumstances, the housing development project is expected to be launched in the third quarter of the financial year ended 2023 and to be completed by 2026.
